Author’s Joanna Jones and Danika Gordon (pictured standing left to right above) are thrilled to present their new children’s book titled Great Faces From South Dakota.
The book came about as a result of Danika’s idea – imagining an entertaining day at school when students arrive dressed like the famous South Dakotan they were assigned to research. But with the turn of each page, the teacher realizes her students have taken the assignment to heart, and they let her know they are dreaming BIG!
The story highlights seven well-known South Dakotans, including Gutzon Borglum, Annie Tallent, Seth Bullock, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Billy Mills, Gladys Pyle, and Peter Norbeck.
Great Faces From South Dakota is a great resource for teachers and students. It introduces young readers to legendary South Dakotans and prompts youngsters to dream big about their own futures.
